I hate to see a nice landmark like Zion Church go up in flames. Here's hoping the structure is sound enough that it can be at least partially repaired.

I think some of the news items have already said that the brick walls are too unstable and will have to come down. The loss was listed at 2.2 million - but I can’t believe they could rebuild anything nearly that statuesque for twice that amount. A church is more than a building, but I feel bad for the people that had so many memories from that building—think of it: births, confirmations, first communions, baptisms, weddings, funerals. I hope they can rebuild something special there.
