Yay, Blacktop!

By: Mr. Wilson on August 2, 2007
I (naively) assumed that after the businesses at 14th and Q were demolished, preparatory work would begin relatively quickly on our new highrise's utilities and foundation. Silly me. Instead, it looks like we'll have a nice blacktop parking lot for a while. Count me unimpressed.

The cynical side of me believes these will stay parking lots for years. 😛

I say we build a big, adult friendly park - with grown up sized swings and slides, and a place to play 4 square. That’d be fun! (I admit I’m a bit weird, though)

A little weird?  I think you are a little AWESOME for that adult park idea I would totally be there!!!  😊

Can there be tetherball? Please tell me there can be tetherball.

RE: Tetherball - OK, but I’m horrible at it. I tend to run away from the ball. I’m ok at dodgeball, though, as long as the boys don’t get TOO competitive. 😊

Adult tetherball. That would be awesome.

I suppose someone would go ruin it by doping…

I cringed when I saw the cheap parking lot-making equipment show up yesterday.

Anyone up for a game of 4 square tomorrow?

Tempting. So very tempting. Anybody keep a ball under their desk?

RECESS! This would make a great ‘pranking licoln’ event. I wanna play tag.

(I don’t even remember the rules to 4 square)

Karin’s idea might be the most hilarious and brilliant thing ever.

Brilliant idea.  Bring chalk so you can do hopscotch too.
