I have always wanted to do a polar bear plunge, and it turns out the Law Enforcement Torch Run's Polar Bear Plunge is this Saturday. The event benefits Special Olympics Nebraska. Unfortunately, this Saturday isn't the best day for me, and finding out about it now doesn't leave a whole lot of time for fund-raising.
But...
I will issue a challenge to you, my faithful readers. If you can pull together at least $500 in pledges in the comments -- that's 1% of the event's goal of $50,000 -- I'll take the plunge, and I will post a video of it online. Or, if five of you will join me and you each aim for $100 in pledges, I will take the plunge with you.

If you pledge the full event goal of fifty grand, I will consider nekkididity. Otherwise: heck no.
I’d join you, but my shameful secret is that I never learned to swim. But I got twenty-five bucks I can put forth.
If you promise no nekkidditity I’ll pledge $25. I’ve seen you play cards and that was scary enough.
well not to be outdone I will pledge $25 as well.
But unfortunately I will be taking part in another local biking event and will not be able to attend. Plus I am still trying to figure out who you really are. Like in your pic a few days ago your face is conveniently hidden. Doh, I will figure out who you are someday (fists raised to the sky).

I will also pledge $25 of my personal cash and will match the next $75 that is pledged. Forcing someone to take the Polar Bear Plunge is almost as good a cause as Special Olympics.

Regardless if it gets to $500, you really should feel obligated to take the plunge and post the video, because you’ve got close to $200 in donations now.

He needs to totally get in there and flop around for a while (on camera). This charity now has $200 more than they had before, and they likely wouldn’t have gotten it had he not posted this. Thus, you need to get in there Wilson. No turning back now.
I will pledge to bring a thermos of Irish Coffee to help you warm back up from the inside out.
