The other night The Missus and I purchased some new DVDs. Well, they aren't actually "new," but they are new to us. We hardly ever buy new DVDs.
Anyway, the three we choose say a lot about us, I think. Judge for yourself:
Closer
The Incredibles
Team America: World Police
OK all you budding Freudian psychoanalysts, examine away!

See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
Well I don’t know about any psychoanalysis, but I can tell you that you have a horrible taste in movies. UGH! Sure I admit I have a few losers in my collection too, but dude, two cartoons and a relationships flick out of three purchases is pretty bad. Please tell me that the Missus was the force behind these wretched choices.
Closer?!?
Good gracious that was painful…
C’mon Mr. T, dismissing two of the choices because they are “cartoons”? Where’s that open-mindedness you liberals are supposed to display? Besides, only one is a cartoon, and it’s a great family flick. The other is most certainly not a cartoon. If you brush aside Team America as merely a cartoon, you miss a good chunk of the message. As for Closer being a “relationships flick,” well, guilty as charged. But what’s wrong with the occasional relationship flick? I think Closer will juxtapose nicely with When Harry Met Sally in our DVD collection.
So Mr. T, what movies should I have purchased?
Chris: Sorry you didn’t like Closer. I happen to think it’s a brilliant film, but I can see why somebody (err, most people) wouldn’t like it. Surely a mostly-naked Natalie Portman redeems it just a little, though, right?
Well it depends on what you like Mr. Wilson! Personally, I dont think you can go wrong with Casino.
