I'm glad the "ugly house potluck" went well and all, but it got me thinking: Not enough neighborhoods have potlucks for no reason at all. Including mine. Hmm...

All kidding aside, social connectedness is something we need to foster in our neighborhoods. Potlucks, front porches and first names are the glue that will keep our city vibrant. Take a look at the book, Bowling Alone. We’ve seen a serious decline in connectedness over the past several decades that needs to be reversed.
