Some of you are sick of hearing about Ricky Turco. I understand. You may as well just skip this post. Many of you, however, still want to know the latest info on him. This post's for you.
I wish I could feel bad about picking on Ricky Turco. But until the guy accepts responsibility for the death of Megan Churchill, I just can't. For that matter, he needs to accept responsibility for a whole bunch of things. Alas, it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
Anyway, Ricky Turco pleaded no contest to manslaughter charges related to Churchill's death, and he pleaded guilty to charges associated with a break-in at Lincoln High. As part of the plea agreement he won't face several other charges. He faces as many as 45 years behind bars.

I’m on your side. I hope he rots away and never gets behind the wheel of another car in this or any lifetime. Maybe he can turn it around, but he’ll have plenty of time to consider that while he sits in the big house. Shame on the enablers around him and those who make excuses for a variety of inexcusable actions.
I hope he serves every day of that maximum 45 years. He’s proven himself to be a detriment to society at the ripe age of 17, so it’s society’s responsibility to remove that detriment. I hope he makes some ‘friends’ in the Penn, if you know what I mean.
I could care less whether he accepts responsibility for killing Megan Churchill . If he came out and apologized for it with sincere remorse, it wouldn’t change how I feel about him. The guy needs to be locked up regardless of how he feels about what he did.
I’m still amazed that the sentencing could include fines. How does someone in prison earn money to pay fines? Just give him prison time, he deserves it. I just hope people don’t really expect him to change, I don’t think he’s capable of that.

I love they way the keep referring to him a s a “Lincoln Man” on the news. I don;t know what to call him but man is the furthest thing from what he is that I can think of.
It just continually amazes me why Turco’s status is front page news on the LJS all the time. I can /possibly/ see front page on a metro/local section but on 1A?
I’ve got no agenda against the LJS, but I wonder sometime what kind of paper they are trying to be.
