Agree or disagree: The Blackshirts couldn't stop Stephen Hawking -- without his wheelchair -- in a game of red rover. Discuss.

Painful to watch. My hopes are fading for Big Red.
Interesting to hear so many boos in the stadium today. Still, the fans hung in there to the end.

good question. If Hawking is using his incredible knowledge of particle physics to levitate and propel himself at near-light speed then I’d agree.

As Kirk Herbstreit say, “What we’re seeing now is the parity of college football.” Parity means that teams like Nebraska go out and have top twenty recruiting classes and have mediocre seasons. It also means that other teams like Oklahoma, Texas, USC, LSU, Florida, and West Virginia aren’t affected by this parity that’s gripping college football and year to year are a lot better than everyone else.

I am glad you said without the wheelchair at least that way they have a fighting chance. With the wheelchair is just unfair! 😉

Recruiting? Ask 0-4 Notre Dame about recruiting. They are always in the top ten when the “experts” grade their recruiting classes. So I ask, what happened? Maybe Coach Weis’ “offensive genius” didn’t have that much to do with the Patriots’ success after all.

Oh and back on topic, the Blackshirts couldn’t stop a team of girl scouts with arm loads of cookies to sell.

A friend of mine leaned over to his wife during the USC game and said: “Cosgrove needs to issue Mace to the Blackshirts cause hittin’ them with their purses just isn’t working.”
Cracked me up!

The best comment I heard all game was in the 3rd quarter or so when they were introducing the pilots who did the flyover (which, apparently, only a dozen or so people saw since it was more of a fly WAY over). A guy a couple rows back said “Why don’t you do us a favor and get back in your planes and drop a bomb on this place?”. Husker fans turn into comedians when they accept the truth.
