Time Warner May Have Bad News for Local Bandwidth Hogs

By: Mr. Wilson on April 10, 2009
Think you don't like Time Warner Cable now? Get ready for bandwidth caps that could push your monthly internet bill to $150 for "virtually unlimited" use. This while Time Warner's costs to supply bandwidth to users are actually decreasing. Verizon FiOS, where are you?

That’s why I switched back to Windstream. Same basic speed, better basic service, bundled in for a much better rate.

Time Warner, I salute you! (yes, that is one finger)

If these rates go into effect I will look at windstream too.

I’m surprised you left TWC Fletch. I know what a big supporter you are of them.

That’s hilarious. I still can’t believe I am a subscriber for cable and haven’t switched to the dish!

For the most part im happy with my dish/dsl combo. I got greenstreak so I didnt have to foot the bill for a local line, and 3 mb. If I had a hardline into my laptop I would spring for faster but the limitations of wireless throughput makes the bottle neck at my computer no matter what speed I have a the router. Ive been able to change programming configuration over the phone in minutes and other than a few channels that act up on occasion I have no complaints.
