The maglev elevators will be quieter and more comfortable and will travel 984 feet per second -- not as fast as the company's conventional lifts that move 3,314 feet a second, Toshiba said.Wow, the conventional lifts move at a whopping 2,259 miles per hour! I have got to remember to ride on an elevator if I ever get to Japan. I just hope I don't forget my Dramamine.
