Can anybody explain to me why there is still only a single Famous Dave's in town (at Southpointe, 27th and Pine Lake Road). I would have expected two more Dave's in town by now. There's certainly a demand for it; according to my sister, the wait last night at 5:00pm was an hour. I realize Lincolnites eat earlier than folks in a lot of other places, but already an hour wait at 5? That's insane!

demand more BBQ in Lincoln. If *any* of the KC restaurants would ever open a location in town I would be very, very happy.
On a related note, it is just as mystifying how there is still just one Best Buy in Lincoln. It’s approaching North Wal-Mart levels of “there’s *always* lots of people there”.
I concur on both counts. I think the old Kmart location at Edgewood would be a great second spot for Best Buy. Or, the Target store there, if and when it closes.
I thought many years ago that there was a Famous Dave’s coming to the 84th and Holdrege region. Maybe now that the area is really bustling, it will happen.
I won’t complain because there are only one each of Famous Dave’s and Best Buy. In fact, I wouldn’t complain if there were no locations. If ‘Best’ Buy closed, I guess I’d have to find somewhere else to try computer stuff out before I buy it online for half the price, but I’m willing to live with that.
Our waits wouldn’t be so long if busy eating establishments all did call ahead or reservations. A few places still accept one or the other, I miss both in many of our favorites.
Add the Outback to that list.
I’ve thought there should have been another best buy for a good 8 years now. The parking lot is insanely small. Getting out of there is a huge chore. Christmas time at Best Buy is an absolute nightmare. Another BB in Lincoln is long overdue. Southpoint seems like a severely obvious location.
