The City and UNL have come to an agreement to have the Huskers play basketball at the arena. That's great and all, but I can't help but think just how soon 2013 is. After all this hubbub over an arena, it's still strange to me to think that the thing is actually going to be finished 24 months from now. Well ... it had better be finished.

I have no doubt it will be done in time. I am just really wanting to know what the christening event will be. I would love to see a HUGE name probably country show with Larry the Cable Guy there also.
It will almost certainly be over budget…these things always are. But since we are doing it I think we should have one heck of an awesome party for the opening gig. It will be a jewel in our city…well next to the Stadium and Capital Building which are our long standing jewels and historic monuments of times past.
