Taco News

Matt Olberding reports that the former KFC on 11th and South will soon be a combination D'Leon's / Leon's Taco Rico. I've never heard of the latter, but D'Leon's has been a Lincoln favorite for a few years. Those of you who live in the neighborhood had best loosen your belts a notch. Also, the second Lina's location has been open on 70th and O for a couple weeks now. Have any of you stopped by? What's your verdict?

Oh man, really?  A D’Leon’s right in my ‘hood?  I’m gonna get so fat.

I think the “Taco Rico” is just the full name.  The one on 48th is called “D’Leons Taco Rico”.

I love me some Lincoln Burrito…

I’ve been watching that location for awhile wondering what was going in there.  D’Leon’s Taco Rico is the name of their place on N. 48th in the old Taco John’s.

it was a scary place to eat at.  I would hope they would clean it up good.

That new KFC buffet is really swank.  A coworker treated me to lunch.  The menu board is made of 3 LCD screens that have some animation.  Big fancy booths, plush red chairs in the waiting area, and nice decor.

nice. that’s probably slightly closer to home than the 27th and holdredge location.  are they all 24 hours? it’s good to see a local business so successful that it can afford to open pretty much a store everywhere in town.

It might even be midnight, at least on some days of the week. I know it’s not 24 hours.
