Woohoo! I am very excited to see this project come to fruition.
The Lincoln YMCA has never tried anything like this before, though I’ve had a lot of pride in our relationships with both LPS and the Parks & Recreation Dept. over the years. Upon seeing this partnership in action, it is very likely that all future Lincoln YMCAs will be similar projects. I think it’s a great idea, and hope that we see a positive impact on both organizations’ budgets, too.

My son went to Roper Elementary School and the YMCA took care of and used the fields behind the school. It was a nice arrangement.
Today’s story is a great example of finding efficiencies and working together.
