Those of you who get giddy over Raising Cane's chicken fingers will be glad to hear that their Downtown location opens today. If you're one of the first 100 in line -- I'm told there are already a few dozen waiting -- you have a chance to win free grub for a year.
I'm not a huge chicken finger guy so I greet this news with little excitement. But boy, some people are fiercely passionate about their Raising Cane's chicken and their dipping sauce. Whatever floats your boat, folks.
Enjoy new restaurant number 76, Downtown diners.

Pretty sure it’s the same franchise owners.
I could take or leave chicken fingers, particularly these. However, I take my family to eat there fairly regularly because I believe that the owners are remarkable. They are often the ones you see out on the floor cleaning tables and talking to customers. More than that, they are more actively philanthropic and engaged in the community than any other business I can think of.
I don’t know who the owners of the downtown franchise will be, but the folks on 48th are doing their part to make their hometown a better place, and that deserves support!
Very well said.
I stopped at the DT RC’s today and wow did they get you through their line in no time. Lots of people in the store and I maybe waited 10 minutes. No lines out the door and down the street like some of the others I have seen DT. That said, I think they have reduced the size of the chicken fingers since the last time I went there. I would say they are 3/4 of the size.
Also, CP, I believe that the DT owners are the same as the 48th St. location.
