Pears Without Pears

Talk about sour grapes. Who cares? If the old owners sold it, why should they retain rights to the name? There are many iconic locations in the US that get bought and sold with the name intact, I don't see any reason this needs to be any different.Outside of Lincoln, NE it's not nearly as famous as they would like to think it is.Forget about the rest of the comment, the answer is in the first sentence: Sour Grapes. I think it's a great name. The mascot could be a slightly inebriated Fruit of the Loom-style character. Who's with me?

See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
I like it! It retains the fruit theme of the previous-occupant-whose-name-shall-not-be-spoken and is a tongue-in-cheek nod to the situation.
*running to the patent office…...” I didn’t mean to sound quite so negative, but really, I get tired of Lincolnites, and to a greater degree, everyone else, tying up the court system for stupid stuff. Unless there is some sort of prior business agreement in motion to produce PO Pears clothing or something branded, it makes no sense to keep the name. They sold all the stuff, so it’s not like they could open with the same ambiance anywhere else.
I really like the name Sour Grapes. Nothing to wine about there. 😊
It will be even better if they ever decided to open another location on Vine Street.
Ahh, I wondered if that was you, but I wasn’t sure. I was hoping it wasn’t you because that would have made for some delicious, name-stealing irony. 😊
How so?
Love it!
will they be open this Saturday, the 13th? if not when is the exact day they will be opening?
