I didn't even realize O Asian Garden (27th and O) had closed, but apparently the space has been acquired by the credit union next door. So much for my plan to give O Asian a try this fall.

Darn. I didn’t go there often, (because the Oriental Market behind my house has much of the same stuff cheaper) but they carried a lot of items that I would go down their for specifically- including my favorite tea. They also had really nice gift items - like teacups and teapots and saki sets and such.
I sure hope I can find somewhere else that carries the tea. I wish I’d stocked up now…

I used to go there for the tea as well. They had a nice little collection. They also had homemade kimchi and frozen quail, which I liked.
That place always seemed to have problems. They had a bubble tea cafe in there which may have lasted a few months tops, and the video store in there moved out to vina plaza.

Oh, that’s sad news. I wanted to check out that place soon, as I’m fairly new to Lincoln and I can’t seem to find Yokisoba noodles at the grocery stores like I did when I lived near Seattle.
If someone knows of another place I could try, clue me in? I’ve got a craving.

D Kay - There are a few people who visit this site regularly (and quite a few more in this town) who have some ties to the Seattle area, including me.
As far as finding those noodles, hmmmm…I think I MAY have seen some at the Super Saver on 27th at Southridge but I am not sure.

Mr. T - Oooh… And I was just over there last night at the Village Inn enjoying the French Toast with strawberries and bananas.
I’ll trek over there again this weekend and peruse the aisles. Thanks! You may have saved my budget if I find the noodles (Hu Hots can be expensive).
Are you the Mr. T that “mutters and muses”? I’ll have to check that blog out to see what you get excitable over.

I too will miss it, but for those of you such as DKay, I’d check out the various other Oriental markets along north 27th street. They might have the noodles and such you are looking for.
