This is Mr. Devney calling to inform you that we have been advised by the Lincoln Police Department to close school today for all students and staff. The police are in the Huntington neighborhood dealing with an unsafe person at 46th and Knox street. This situation is currently unsafe for us to gather for school. Our before and after school CLC will be closed as well. We will plan to resume school tomorrow.LPS's website isn't in agreement with the message going out by phone. UPDATE 3: LPS has confirmed that this is a delay, not a closure. For now.

See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
Children’s museum. Zoo. Legos. Star Wars movie marathon. Have the kid clean his room. Watch “Cars.” Netflix until you puke. Take him out for lunch. Did I mention Legos? Play games.
Days like this used to bother my schedule - but I had an epiphany one day that it’s a full day to spend with your kid without the kid being sick. Think like a kid for a few hours and have fun.
I’d be all over the “think like a kid” thing if it weren’t for deadlines with work. If only this had happened tomorrow...
They are now saying closed for the day. Sorry!
