Today, Chris Beutler ($140,700) leads the money race over Ken Svoboda ($124,000), Roger Yant ($800), and Mike Deal ($0). But remember, despite popular conceptions to the contrary, money and votes are only loosely correlated. I suspect Roger Yant will receive more than the 0.3% of the vote his war chest suggests, for example.
Given the current status of the mayoral race, who do you think has the edge? Why?

I support Beutler in this race but I suspect, in general, the incumbent has the advantage in most races. Svoboda definitely campaigns as if he has the advantage (ie. not doing much campaigning).
I saw Svoboda in a Ray’s Lawn Care booth at the Home Show and he was talking on his cell phone. I expected him to work the crowd.
