Robin Eschliman is getting a lot of buzz these days, but it's all the wrong kind. In the last couple days she has been called ignorant and told it's time to go to bed. She is quickly becoming known as "the negative one". Nobody likes a downer.
Actually, that's not true. Lots of Lincolnites are down on Lincoln; lots of Americans are down on the U.S.; and so on. Maybe Ms. Eschliman is just catering to that segment of the population. It may not be a great way to sell the city, but it's a good way to get people riled up.
But then she went and took it one step too far. Note to public figures: don't insult folks' charitable giving habits, and especially don't direct your insults at one vocal and powerful chunk of the population. And definitely don't imply that future contract negotiations will take charitable giving into account.
Anyway, it's clear that Ms. Eschliman needs a hug. I can go one better. I'm going to give her a puppy.

I hope she can learn from all this and stop putting her foot in her mouth. She never comes off as “nice.” We could use more nice.
If she had the propaganda campaign that Hillary Clinton has, she’d be able to spin this ‘ganging up on the woman’ into a Senate bid. But she would then be running into the Johanns machine which, according to some, is run by the ‘national party’. So she would have to run as a Democrat, and if Raimondo is any indication, switching from Republican to Democrat grants you hero status.
Out of curiosity, why do you frequently bring up off-topic items that provide little to the conversation beyond reiterating your (very well-known, by this point) political views? Did a black lesbian take a previous job away from you? Did a Democrat kick your puppy when you were a child? Do you enjoy trolling?
Maybe Dave K needs a hug too….
Not sure what political views I expressed in my post. I can only guess that you were reading into it based on whatever stereotypes you apply to me.
