Congratulations to Lincoln's Heartland Big Brothers Big Sisters for winning the national group's agency of the year award! That's good stuff, folks. Keep up the good work.
Are any of you big brothers or big sisters, or have you been in the past? Please tell us about it. Who knows, you might help recruit a new volunteer or three.

See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
many years ago when the organization was young. My Little and I had a great relationship after his father passed away. When he became an adult he asked me to stand up for him at his wedding. From the beginning my wife was very open to my Little and she originally encouraged me to become a Big. To this day, over 35 years later, he is still part of our lives and his kids are just like our grandkids.
I am one now. It’s rewarding. it was a little awkward for the fir few months, but the little guy has become quite a friend.
I would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for the shout out on our award. We really appreciate the recognition and are so grateful for all the donors, volunteers, parents and their children who allow us to be part of their lives. We are celebrating our 40th Anniversary next year and we are looking for former participants to share their stories with us. Please consider calling me to share your great story.
