1. A great town to raise a family.
2. Generally, selfish drivers.
3. A nice anomaly to most downtown districts in the Midwest. Nice balance of entertainment and services. Could use a little more retail.
4. Not nearly as bad as people think it is, but it could be so much better.
5. Doing a great job of educating our children.

1. Lincoln is pert near perfect for a livin spot. Almost like Silvertown (joe Dirt)
2. Lincolnites are pert near decent folks. Send out a wave, nod, or smile and you will usually get it back.
3. Downtown Lincoln is my neighborhood, shopping destination, and where I eat. Seems some higher ups do not think it is good enough, but it suits me just fine.
4. Traffic in Lincoln is much better on a bike 😉

1. Lincoln is somewhat boring. It’s not always a bad thing, it also means there’s not news stories about shootings every day.
2. Lincolnites are very varied. I have met some of the nicest people here. I have also met some of the most racist/homophobic/xenophobic people here.
3. Downtown Lincoln is ok.
4. Traffic in Lincoln is pretty good. It’s very strange to me that people will jump back and forth across lanes all the way down 27th street, only to end up next to me at the South Street light. I’ve lived in Southern California, and Dallas, the traffic here is nothing, yet people act like their 15 minute drive across town is the worst commute in the world. The only time I really hate traffic in Lincoln is game days.
And I love that I don’t have to deal with traffic in the morning. I can just walk.

1. Lincoln is a better place to live than Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta etc…
2. Lincolnites are either friendly to the extreme (most of us) or rude to the extreme. (To bad the rude ones all ended up in city goverment)
3. Downtown Lincoln is not as congested as Charlotte, NC. (was just there last week)
4. Traffic in Lincoln is usually phone booths, fast food tables and make up salons. (Things I see a lot people doing while not paying attention to their driving)
5. Lincoln Schools are diploma mills where just showing up regularly for a few years garners one a diploma. (I had 3 children in LPS through High-School)

1: Lincoln is… full of too many gov employees that could care less if property taxes sky-rocket.
2: Lincolnites are… TAXED TOO MUCH!
3: Downtown Lincoln is… stagnant and ugly. The buildings need updating and those awful sky-bridges need to be torn down.
4: Traffic in Lincoln is… fair. The intersection of Q and 9th is a nightmare. I hate turning left onto 9th from Q (and turning left onto 9th from O is even worse… got hit there once).
