Is it just me, or is it a little odd to charge a guy with resisting arrest after you've just beat the crap out of him?

They were showing footage of the beating on the news today. Those cops should get nailed for this. And stress is no excuse for unnecessarily beating a guy to a bloody pulp either. Once again, you can’t help but wonder how often this occurs when the cameras aren’t around.
