Did you know that the Brown Baggers on 70th and Van Dorn is not the same as the Brown Baggers in the Haymarket? I learned that yesterday.

I didn’t know there was a Brown Baggers in the Haymarket.
I’ve been to the one at 70th/VanDorn. I liked it I suppose, they had good bread & soup. Nothing remarkable.

Wha!?
How can that be? Some sort of gentleman’s agreement on the use of the name then?

Once upon a time, they were trying to franchise that deal. Maybe it was an agreement of sorts like that, or a change in ownership of one location and not the other that allowed for the use of the name.

I have been going to Danny’s Deli for years now and never tried the “deli-style” sandwiches they have until the other day. They are quite large and very good. Add that to the list of new sandwich-related news items as well!
