According to a sign on the window, looks like Holyland Cuisine and Hookah Bar is moving in to the old location of the Pita Pit downtown at 13th and O street, right next to the new Subway where the old Taco Del Mar used to be. Is this the same Holyland Cuisine on 27th south of Vina Plaza? Anyone have any more information on this?

See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
Over on SCS a guy says it is the same owner.
its the same owner/place. and from what he made it sound like, it’s not moving, but opening a second store. I wonder what the hookah smoking will be like downtown. or will they just not do that part downtown. what are the laws about it?
from the biz buzz
It will be interesting to see how they do that. There is so little space in front and it is close to the outdoor tables in front of Subway.
The hookah bar might be a big draw. I’ve seen kids with their own hookahs sitting outside Harper-Schramm-Smith. Not sure what they were burning in it though. 😉
for smokers, anyway, is a really nice, unique experience. It’s too bad that it gets an image rap from smokers of other things (though my thoughts on US drug policy are not part of this discussion) and falls under suspicion almost immediately. Im expecting to see a blog soon on Chief’s page about this.
I have smoked a hookah before and the tobacco was so strong it nearly knocked me out and left me feeling pretty wasted for a few hours. I may have smoked too much. Its more something you do over a period of an hour or two. Too much too fast and you are doomed.
