Hagel is so excited about meeting with his constituents that he hasn’t bothered to announce the meeting on his website. UNL is so excited about hosting the event that the event isn’t mentioned on UNL’s events calendar, and Hagel was given a prime spot in Kimball Recital Hall.

If Hagel is running for president—or even for his own job—he’s going about it in a very odd way.

I receive regular emails from the Nebraska Republican Party and it was mentioned in one about a week or two ago as an upcoming event. This is definitely not a UNL-sponsored event because that might be seen as direct support for activities of an individual politician. But like you I wonder why its not on his website.

He doesn’t really WANT to actually face his constituency, because a large number of people that voted for him feel let down by him and his decisions. He just wants to be able to tout another town hall meeting. I would have loved to see Jon Bruning there, too. Could have started the fireworks early!
