- Leave an especially large tip for one of my favorite waiters.
- Buy a gift for a child from a giving tree.
- Buy rides for kids on the carousel at Gateway or the train at the zoo.
- Pay bus fares for anybody who needed it.
- Buy cookies from The Cookie Company and hand them out to passers-by.

See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
Last year we started a random-acts-of-kindness thing where we anonymously gave some money to someone who needed it. We chose a single mom who wasn’t going have Christmas because she couldn’t afford to. We sent her grocery store gift cards and cash and just told her it was from a friend.
This year we hope to find an opportunity to do something at the checkout stand at a store or grocery store, maybe pay for someone’s groceries or something like that.
I like the idea of getting the gift off the giving tree!
