Friday Five

- Anticipation. I love the jittery anticipation evident in Lincoln before the game.
- Red. I've been conditioned to love seeing throngs of people all wearing red. I miss red.
- Game day snacks. Nachos, cocktail weenies, buffalo wings... I love 'em all, and they are much more common during football season.
- Pride. Nebraskans are so proud of Husker football. Some scoff at the pride as "childish" or "unrefined", but I think it's fun.
- The game. Win or lose, I love a game of well-played college football more than any other sport.

See what your friends and neighbors have to say about this.
This will be my first Husker Gameday that I haven’t been in Lincoln for since the last time Louisiana Tech came to town. In 1998, Louisiana Tech came to town and threw the ball all over the place. We ran all over the place and beat ‘em 56-27. That was my first Husker Gameday in Lincoln. I haven’t missed one since then…until this Saturday. :( sad to think about really.
D.M.B. I know the feeling it is weird not being in Lincoln for the first home game, or for an entire season.
Mr. Wilson, you remember that first game of 2004 with Blumpkin? Ahh the memories.
I am just so thankful I don’t have to go to work on game days anymore.
yay for weekends off.
