Somebody called KLIN claiming that a gas station near the airport is advertising gas at one price, but only offering that price on one pump. I have no idea if that's true or not, but if so the gas station's owner is violating a law enacted in 2009 in response to exactly that sort of scheme. In particular, it is illegal to advertise "goods or services with intent not to sell them as advertised or [to advertise] the price in any manner calculated or tending to mislead or in any way deceive a person".
If any of you happen to be near the airport I'd love to know if this is actually going on (again!). While you're there, you may want to slap a copy of this on the counter.

This is actually going on - it’s at the BP by the airport. Their way around the law is that only one pump has “regular unleaded” which is the “cheap” price posted. All the other pumps have “Silver” and other levels of gasoline availble - but not “regular” unleaded.
Ahh, so they aren’t selling “regular” at different prices. That is an interesting way around the law.
