Cold Treats

By: Mr. Wilson on July 23, 2007
Dairy Queen may have left 33rd and Pioneers, but I noticed this weekend that there's a new option at the intersection: Snow Rush sits on the northeast corner in the space occupied many moons ago by Video Station. Snow Rush apparently offers shaved ice and fruit smoothies. I haven't made it inside yet, but I hope to soon. Speaking of smoothies, Juice Stop is my hands-down winner in Lincoln. Where is your favorite place to go for smoothies?

NuVibe - love the smoothies and the vibe and the look there, and it’s convenient. It will be moreso when Pioneers actually opens to traffic again sometime in my lifetime.

I am probably older than you and may not last until it opens.  When we moved in our house in December the time table was March.  Then May first, then July first…...

Pioneers is the new 84th Street—as soon as they open it up after construction and everyone gets their convenience back, they close it down again for what seems like an eternity.

I don’t buy smoothies much, but when I do, it’s either Juice Stop or NuVibe.  Both are within arm’s reach of where I spend over two-thirds of my days.  NuVibe has a great ‘protein smoothie’, and I’ve never had anything that tasted less than wonderful at Juice Stop.

I don’t waste a penny at the smoothie stores in Lincoln.

Now if Jamba Juice ever came to town, my wallet would take a huge hit.

Jamba Juice is hands down the best smoothie place around

I’m not aware of one, Phillip, nor do I have their phone number. If I find either one, I will post it here.
