T-T-T-Today, Junior!

I don't have any major gripes with the new school names. Adams Elementary and Kooser Elementary are just fine by me. But come on, Schoo School? That sounds like the set-up for a bad Abbott and Costello wanna-be routine: Grandma: Where do you go to school, Junior? Junior: Schoo School. Grandma: Yes, but what is your school called? Junior: Schoo. Grandma: *sigh* Kids these days have awful annunciation. What, you're too lazy to pronounce the 'L' at the end of school? Too much work for you? Junior: No grandma, I go to Schoo. Schoo School. Grandma: Since when do you have a stutter?

Just because he held a job for a long time doesn’t mean he was a great person worthy of naming rights only a couple years after stepping down. For crying out loud, there had to be a lengthy list of admirable candidates. With apologies to Doug Evans, I *do* think this was a rush job - why do we need names before the first beam is raised? And I agree - Schoo School just sounds dumb. It will always just look like the L dropped off the name and the words were hung in the wrong order on the sign. *Sigh*

I’ll always remember Schoo for not calling school off on the day Clint Eckhout died in a car accident on his way to school in the snow.  I normally don’t gripe about school not being canceled because of snow, but I’ll always believe school should have been called off that day.

I’m not sure what the big deal about naming schools is, but I will say there isn’t a better Lincolnite than Colonel Adams to name a school after.

I think Schoo is pronounced SKOH. The students are gonna sound like they’re stuttering.
But it’s still easier to say than Kahoa.
