Lincoln's public schools are open for business today. Is summer really over already? That seems unbelievable. Then again, what do I know? I sit in my basement all day.

Gotta love that extra ten minutes I get in the morning when school is in session. I live a block from Park middle school and refuse to risk my life riding my bike near the rushed parents dropping their kids off.
My neighbor starts 3rd grade today and was really bummed yesterday, but made the most of her last day of vacation.
