Snuggly Warm Blanket

By: Mr. Wilson on December 8, 2008
I used to follow the weather religiously. Today I was surprised to read that there may be six inches of snow on the ground by tomorrow. That sort of news never used to sneak up on me. I'm excited for Robbie to see his first "big" snow. He saw snow last year, of course, and even played in it a bit. But he'll "get it" much more this year. Hopefully Lincoln's drivers "get it" a little better than they did with last week's dusting. Then again, I find six inches of snow easier to drive on than a thin glaze of ice. At least you can see what you're up against.

from the Winter Weather Advisory. Total snow may not exceed an inch now at 1:50 pm.  Bummer.

WHAT?! Oh now I’m ticked. Don’t go gettin’ me all excited about playing in the snow and then crush me with a measly inch. Bah.

Ken Siemek, why must you toy with me so?

This morning at 6am Omaha news said that Lincoln would only receive an inch or so. Weather.com said the same thing so I’m not sure what the local media were all excited about.

No doubt the snow shovel lobby paid ‘em off.

The snow shovel lobby hates democracy and listens to Top 40 country, so there’s that.

I think Ken Siemek likes predicting winter weather. It lets him say “mixed bag” a lot.

I spent all day shopping and pumping money into the local economy. I saw many folks buying shovels today.
