Not My Style

By: Mr. Wilson on January 3, 2013
A portion of the former Steve & Barry's location at Gateway is finally going to be filled. A store called Forever 21 will take up the majority of the first level. I can't tell you how excited I am that styles like this will soon take over Lincoln: image I'm pretty sure I made a design almost exactly like that back in kindergarten using crayons, waxed paper, and an iron. Apparently the retailer has been requested for quite some time. So good for those who've been waiting, I guess. I personally would have preferred a theater. I really thought that space had a good chance -- read: higher than zero but still low -- to become Lincoln's first major non-Marcus theater. Alas.

I think the store will be pretty popular as I now it is elsewhere.  From what I have seen, tweens adore it.

I don’t know if I should be elated or depressed by the fact that I’ve never heard of it until now.

That’s an odd outfit, but I do like that store.

You don’t have girls.  😊  So be elated!

They have a lot of silly things, but they also carry a lot of basics at really good prices. So I’m excited! (and I’m 33, not exactly a tween). I’d rather have a costco, though.

I’ve never heard of the place either.

As I made a desperate lap around the mall a day or two before Christmas, I realized there is almost nothing in the mall that appeals to me.  Of course, I wasn’t shopping for me but I really had to force myself into a couple shops.  I won’t have to go back now until next Dec. 23rd!

I’m glad Forever 21 has found a way to use discarded upholstery and drapery from the 1970s to make clothing. It keeps that stuff out of our landfills.
