Four Inches of Fun

By: Mr. Wilson on November 15, 2005
Hot dog! Nebraska's trusty meteorological prognosticators -- who are never wrong -- are saying we could see four inches of the white stuff tomorrow. Sweet! I doubt I'll be as pleased about the weather once tomorrow rolls around, though. It's not the snow I'll mind, but the wind. Nebraska's fall winds can really take the fun out of a good snowfall.

Well today’s little tempest was hardly a poster child for snowy days.

Did you at least manage to keep your vehicle on the road? The Missus did a 180° on Highway 33 on her way home from work. Fortunately there weren’t any other vehicles around at the time.

I live 1.1 miles from work.  I have been riding my bike everyday for about 5 months unless it is raining out.

I got one good night ride in at wilderness park the night before (cool light and some schnapps makes for a good time), cuz I figured the park is gonna be a little too wet for a while.

I woke to see not the huge ammount of snow I was told would be there, and it was a slushy, wet mess.  I went to jump the truck, jumper dead.  I put on some swim trunks over my pants to keep my butt dry and rode to work.

Must say it was a bunch of fun.  can’t wait for a few feet.
