Schaefer's has moved across the street to their new location at 46th and R. The new store opens this morning at 10:00am. Schaefer's will keep the old building as their service and warehouse location.
Many of you have shopped at Schaefer's, and most of you have at least heard of it. (Surely you remember their annoying "Christmas in July" commercials!) Schaefer's consistently ranks as one of Lincoln's favorite places to buy appliances and electronics.
Congratulations on the move and expansion, Schaefer's!

My parents picked up a 42 inch LCD TV floor model at their moving sale. Apparently they got an amazing deal. It replaced their 13+ year old TV. It was one of those big ones with all the wood around it.

Only a year late. Not bad!
I don’t currently have a need for anything they sell (I don’t watch TV and am set on kitchen/laundry appliances), but ifwhen the need arises, I will go there. It’s a well-run local business that offers everything the monster chains offer. Can’t go wrong.
I know someone very involved with this whole process, and he assures me that this new store is stunning and that it will blow you away. I made a large purchase there a year ago and couldn’t have been happier with everything. Good luck to them!
We moved into our new house a year ago and have had occasion to purchase way too many things from way too many stores. Of those we dealt with, Schaefers is by far the best. On the forum page you can read our experiences but we ranked them as follows:
