Review: Doughboyz Bistro

Doughboyz Bistro, Lincoln’s new Italian-inspired restaurant, has only been open for a month, but already it is a solid addition to Lincoln’s dining scene. Doughboyz offers unique thin crust pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and pastas, and for the kids they offer a make-your-own pizza bar. Located in the Edgewood Shopping Center, Doughboyz joins several other restaurants in the area, including Scrumpy Jacks, Ruby Tuesday, Parthenon, and Don and Millie’s. No worries, Doughboyz Bistro is up to the challenge of the competition.

Blue Orchid is the new kid in town, the fancy Thai restaurant in Federal Place that everyone is talking about. My dining companion and I had to find out for ourselves if Blue Orchid was really everything everybody said it was. I’m here to tell you: it is.

Scrumpy Jacks is an oddly-named “bold, new eating experience” offering steak, seafood, sandwiches, and more. Located in southeast Lincoln’s Edgewood Shopping Center, Scrumpy Jacks is a welcome addition to Lincoln’s dining scene.
