In my opinion, The Office is the smartest, funniest comedy on network TV now. It is awesome. I really like Steve Carell and the entire ensemble cast of actors/writers. Even better, the TV Squad bloggers (I highly recommend subscribing to this blog, its funny and very informative - regardless of how much or little TV you actually watch) have reported that comedy genius Harold Ramis is directing an episode that will air later this year. Harold Ramis has an extraordinary career in comedy, from the classic SCTV to Caddyshack, Stripes, Animal House, and so on. I will be looking forward to this episode.

Foxspit - Ahhh yes. Nice quote from one of his best works: Stripes.

Pretty much every episode of the The Office I see, is the best one ever. The show has been consistently great and you couldn’t find a better group of writers/actors (because they’re basically the same.)

My favorite episode of the season so far is probably “The Convention” followed by “The Coup.” So many classic scenes. My only suggestions:
1) I hope they can find a way to bring that super fat guy back to work. Although I know that the obligatory fat jokes can be cliche, with this group of writers, I have a feeling that they can take the fat jokes to a new and different level.
2) They have clearly realized that developing and involving their talented ensemble cast more has been very positive. I would like to see them develop Creed Bratton and Toby Flenderson more, as well as continue to include more Kelly and Jan. Along these lines, they also need to do another “warehouse” episode with Roy and Darryl.
3) More brief cameo appearances by other notable personalities, like when they had Jerome Bettis and Conan O’Brien. I would suggest an appearance by Rob Corddry, maybe some of the original British actors, or someone completely unexpected like Bill O’Reilly.

Hi Mr. T,
This is Rasa Malaysia at http://www.rasamalaysia.com. Thanks for checking out my humble site and left me the comment. I believe my RSS feeds are working (both Atom and RSS) but somehow only a few posts show up in my reader. :(
Anyway, do pop in more!
P.S.: Yes, “The Office” is totally wicked. I like it too.

Toby has always been one of my favorite of the “minor” characters. He’s just a nice guy who’s had a stroke of bad luck, and for some reason Michael hates him. And any time someone can get away with saying “Maybe that’s why your wife and kids left you, did you think of that?” it’s funny. And Creed never fails to crack me up. He doesn’t get many lines but when he does it’s always the perfect thing.

Rasa Malaysia - Thanks for the note. You are definitely one of the best food bloggers out there now.
Jwilt - I know why you like Creed so much. You have much in common. You dog.
