The Bourne Ultimatum

I have to say, not only is this one of the best spy/thriller/action movies I have seen in a few years, but it may be THE best spy/thriller/action movie I have ever seen. The only problem was that the opening segment was pretty flat, but after that this movie moved into high gear and stayed that way until the end. The Bourne Ultimatum also has the most exciting walking chase scene since The French Connection, if not better. Clearly, in a battle between Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt, they would have to bring in a CSI team to identify Hunt’s tattered remains.

I can’t wait to see it.  I read those Ludlum novels nearly 20 years ago and the first two films totally lived up to the books.

I’ve enjoyed all the Bourne movies to date and can’t wait to see this one. He totally kicks Ethan Hunt’s behind.

Swoof - Back from the dead? Where have you been?

I really do recommend this one. Seems like the MI franchise is becoming what James Bond used to be (totally over the top action, huge explosions, villains with nasty personalities). Don’t get me wrong, I thought that casting Philip Seymour Hoffman in the last MI was brilliant, but that was the only thing that it had going for it I liked better than Bourne Ultimatum.

Otherwise, BU was better in every respect. This one definitely raises the bar and expands the spy/action genre into new territory.

That’s what I call a good woman.

she does not like violent movies, but loves a good thriller where bad guys get their come uppins.

I’ll have to agree with you on that review. Supremely excellent movie!  I’ll be one of the first in line to get the DVD.
