Succesful iPod Surgery
I took apart my mini today because I need to change the battery. After a little over a year the playtime on my 1G iPod was only lasting about 4 hours. Getting it out was actually easier than putting it back in!

If you have a mini I can show you how to do it. I was prepared to send it to apple for the $65 battery replacement fee but thought I’d save $30 and do it myself. Plus I met someone recently who made it sound as if its easier than slicing bread (which isn’t true in my opinion) so I thought I would try it. The negative is now there are some little groove marks you can discern on the top and bottom plastic lids where I inserted a jeweler’s flathead to pry it open. Oops.
