As a lifelong and eternally-suffering supporter of the Minnesota Vikings, there have been many a Sunday in which I have cursed Brett Favre and his first born. But even for me, it got a little dusty watching today’s press conference. To quote Terrell “Emo” Owens, number 4 was indeed a warrior of the highest caliber. Good luck Brett.

I was once asked which athlete I absolutely hated but had to respect.

Brett Farve.

Favre is my #2 favorite athlete of all time, behind Michael Jordan.  I grew up right outside Madison, WI, so I bleed green and gold.  His press conference today made me sad too, but you could see he was beat, both emotionally and physically.

He’s picking the right time to go, when we all want ‘just one more year’. Legends tend to stay in the game just a year or two too long, so I’m glad to see him going out when there’s little doubt he could make the pro bowl again next year.

Right now I’m pretty damn happy I made it down to KC to see him play in person for the first/only time.

yeah, im man enough to say it: I CRIED! brett was the main reason the PACKERS were #2 on my list, second to my heart-of-hearts, the BRONCOS.

this is sad, but i totally support brett in his decision. i think he went out wisely, and with honor.
