She had something else like this happen to her onair just recently that I saw…
...anyway. I don’t know how CNN’s mics work but there should be some sort of indication in the studio that her mic is live so she obviously wasn’t paying attention. Also...where was the audio man during all this? why wasn’t her mic killed?

ok what I was thinking of is some of Howard Stern’s people getting on the air and pretending to be important people and then saying something inappropriate.
I was wondering the same thing. Isn’t there a kill switch for pretty much every input?

Definitely a mistake by whoever was on the sound board. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

oh definitly there is a kill switch for any input. My guess her mic was open because in a live event like that you want to update people what they’re listening to and the anchor just chimes in when ever there is down spot. And the audio op wasn’t paying attention...but neither was Kyra probably.
