7 New Wonders

On the latest podcast of Inside Europe there was a story about a new project in which individuals across the world can vote on the “new 7 wonders of the world.” Apparently, of the original 7 ancient wonders of the world, only one remains - the Pyramids of Giza. The Pyramids, by the way, are still in the list of the final 21 potential wonders, along with the Sydney Opera House and the Easter Island statues. The results will be made public on 7-7-2007. You can vote here. I’ll have to give this one some thought before voting.

No Chimney Rock, no care.

Dude, Chimney Rock is a naturally occurring geographic feature. The wonders are earmarks of civilization created by humans.
