We almost lost to Ball State.
Why aren’t the Huskers doing great? Do any of these coaches deserve the boot?

-Athletic Director Steve Pederson?

-Head Coach Bill Callahan?

-Defensive Coordinator Kevin Cosgrove?

-Offensive Coordinator Shawn Watson?

-Special Teams Coordinator Bill Busch?

Or is it just the players?

Clearly the defense is underwhelming this season. I don’t know the answer but I’m not sure I’m ready to call for anyone’s head yet. It looks like a breakdown of chemistry and motivation on defense. What might cause that, I don’t know, but the coordinator (Cosgrove) needs to figure that out. Some changes need to be put in place.

On the other hand, the offense is doing pretty well and if they can keep their running game on track, it will be a potent offense.

That said, I’m not sure there are many remaining road wins open to the Huskers this year. I hope they prove me wrong.

I agree, great teams usually start with consistent dominating defenses.  Keller and his weapons can put points up on the board, but the black-shirts and Cosgrove need to turn things around.
