Mr. Wilson,

I was attempting to change my password (seeing how I had not signed in since oh 2005).  I requested a password change, which I was emailed.  However, when I went to change my password so it would be one that I could remember I was given this error message:

The form you submitted contained the following errors

* The username you chose is not available

I did not attempt to change anything other than the password…

Robes, I’ve looked into your problem (based on your description here, and our IM conversation). You appear to be using a pretty “advanced” password—without saying too much more, it’s definitely more than just your dog’s name—and one of the characters seems to be tripping up the system. That in itself isn’t all that unusual, but I can’t figure out why it’s giving you an incorrect error message. I am going to do a little more testing on my end, and then I’m going to forward the details of your problem to the makers of the software I’m using.
