Here’s a link to a great group-prank video.  Less sophisticated than the Best Buy thing but it could be pulled off pretty easily and pretty quickly.

Yeah, that’s a great one. I especially like the one where they surround the guy, throw him up in the air, set him down, and run away. Where in Lincoln would work for such a thing?

Campus seems like a logical place to consider.  There has to be some better locales but I can’t think of anything right now.

Whatever prank eventually takes place, if I am arrested, I plan to talk about my hair.

And no, I don’t plan to get myself (or anybody else) arrested.

That is a wild story!  I suppose a LightBrite can look sinister, but I can’t imagine how.

The whole Boston affair just makes me ten kinds of angry, but that’s a whole rant right there so we won’t go into it.  However, hanging LED Mooninites around town would be awesome

I have an idea that’s been ruminating in my head (yes I know it’s an incorrect use of the word but I just like the word too much to not use it) for a bit, since I saw this video.  If you don’t feel like watching the video, basically an Australian comedian puts on a nice suit and wanders around American streets, asking various Americans questions, and later in the video, he claims to be John Howard, Prime Minister of Australia.  It makes sense, because most Americans would be pressed to name the Prime Minister of Australia, let alone know what he looks like.  So it got me thinking, how far can we push this?  How many people know who the mayor of Lincoln is?  If a particularly glib person in a dapper suit claimed to be the mayor of Lincoln, how many people would assume that he is, on camera?  I think this is definitely something that could be done, enough so that I’ve been pondering buying a digital camcorder just for this purpose.

Ideally, the person claiming to be mayor would be wearing a “Mayor” sash, a la Mayor Joe Quimby.  Any thoughts?

I’m not sure how many people you’d be able to catch with a mayor impersonator, but I’m sure you could get a ton of people with a governor impersonator.

In either case, count me intrigued…

Looks like this is gaining momentum. There’s an article in this week’s Daily (weekly in the summer) Nebraskan.
