What are the odds that we’ll see President Obama in January 2009? I think the best—and just about only—thing I can say about him is that he isn’t any of the other candidates. Weak praise, I know, but in the current climate it’s not out of the question to think it could get him elected.

I think he is peaking a little too soon.  but I am always really impressed when I hear him talk.  he seems like an actual decent person who really wants to make a difference.  Not some rich, fat, old, white man who wants to legislate my vagina wink

And sorry but Hillary is a sure loss, don’t even go there dems.

Hillary will be the nominee in 2008, and if the Republican candidate is either McCain or Guiliani, she will be beaten.  I hope Obama is joking when he talks about running for president.  He hasn’t done anything to impress as a Senator.

I seriously doubt Hilary will be the democratic nominee. Just a hunch, but I don’t see it.

Hillary has already done too much wrong.  Dems will need a really strong leader who has done the right things.  hillary has agreed with complete crap republican things.

No way. Not this cycle. Give him another cycle and it may be serious, but the majority of the country is not ready for him now. He’s black, and his name rhymes with “Osama.” Case closed.

Imagine if Limbaugh or O’Reilly were to say that exact line on one of their shows. Oh, the gnashing and wailing that would follow!

I am looking forward to his future.  if not prez at least we know there is “a” decent person in congress.

my guess is that Obama will barely win the electoral college, kind of like the kennedy-nixon clash of 1960—but that was over religion and this one is over race—and in fact I believe Obama might even win one or two in this red state of Nebraska!… if truth be bold.  But then again I may be dreaming on all of this --- the economy must be bad though.

Yet, that is what I believe and we’ll see if it becomes reality come November.
