Great service and great food is what you get when you go. The sushi is probably the best that you can find in town, and the rest of the fare is excellent especially the seaweed salad. The owner is always very gracious and welcomes you when you arrive. He always makes welcome. The ambiance is very nice—its theme is a modern Japanese Garden with coy to boot. The waitresses are dressed like Geisha girls, which adds to the overall. I have only good things to say about this place. Enjoy.

Have you ever gone to pick your own Christmas tree? Any farm recommendations?

I’d like to know if anyone has selected and/or cut their own Christmas tree from a tree farm in or around Lincoln. I’ve read that some farms even give you a free pumpkin if you pick out your tree ahead of time. Any tips/ recommendations based on your experience?

Returning to Lincoln…

Well....after being gone from Lincoln since April of this year I am already contemplating returning. Now, I realize and am all too familiar with all the normal reactions to change and especially a geographical change. That said, my move was not entirely of my own doing. Perhaps I will dwell on that a bit more later.

That said...I was hoping for some sort of advice on my predicament or whatever I should call it…

I am currently overseas in a northern European country. I had a job waiting for me when I got over here. I have family around. Yet, I miss Lincoln. Never thought I would but I do. I miss the people as well as places in town. So now I want to go back. Am I nuts?

Place to host a party

Help! I’m looking for a place to host a birthday party for 50. Not for a dinner, but a “reception” style party where I can order some food for everyone (appetizers, pizzas, etc.) or they can order a meal if they want to. Maybe something like Brewsky’s, but they are booked already. Downtown/haymarket preferred. Must have bar and food. Would really like separate room or seating area. I thought Lincoln was full of places like this, but I’m having trouble finding one! Thanks for any suggestions.

What are the odds that we’ll see President Obama in January 2009? I think the best—and just about only—thing I can say about him is that he isn’t any of the other candidates. Weak praise, I know, but in the current climate it’s not out of the question to think it could get him elected.

Has anyone tried this online game?

Beside shooting blood everywhere and doing quests for others, talking to monsters that I’ll never find in real life ... I found this game interesting for surviving ( although are lot’s of topics to be covered ).

A difference from Wikipedia ( you only have content ) this game kind of force you to read about topics / ideas / concepts ( learning without knowing it )

Idea of the game: Win credits for solving questions and use the credits to post your own questions for other users to solve!

About a year ago, I decided to sign up for Dish Network. I recall speaking with the salesperson Charles, who told me I could get discounted service after submitting a rebate. On the contract, it stated that the discount would only apply for ten months, and then it would increase to a normal fee. I was not told this by phone, and was under the impression that it the discounted price would extend through the contract term. Nevertheless, I should have read the contract, especially considering that I have been in the legal field for awhile. I also found out that the Dish Network does not provide insurance for “Acts of God” that affect the equipment, so if your homeowners insurance does not cover it, you are in big trouble (a hefty amount). Again, it was in the fine print. I have no real problems with any of the above, except that I feel the company above is a little shady. Maybe a verbal bait-and-switch deal, but I did sign the contract. My mistake still. Buyer Beware.

What I had a real problem with was Charles at All Digital Solutions. When I contacted him to ask questions about the above, he became very irate. He stated “lets cut to the chase.” When I said I wanted to “cut to the chase” and address my concerns, he stated I was not making him any money, AND HE HUNG UP ON ME. This was so incredible, I am still shocked. This man was so unprofessional, and showed such a lack of good customer service skills, I would recommend that people avoid doing any business with him or his company.

I give this 5 stars. It was a fun place to go, and was affordable to everyone. Yes, the movies were older, but it was nice to be able to see them on the big screen. It made going downtown affordable for most of us hard-pressed overtaxed lower class folks.

Thank god almighty the city of Lincoln saw to it that it was torn down.
