Same boring game, different year

April 14, 2007 at 4:05pm By: D.M.B. Posted in D.M.B. Sports Report

I wrote about it last year and my feelings still haven’t changed:

I still could care less about the Spring game.  The Red “won” today 38-0.  Wake me when September rolls around please.

I don’t even care that there’s a quarterback battle...please someone tell me the appeal of this game?

I don’t care, and had completely forgotten about the game until I was on my way downtown yesterday afternoon and encountered heavy traffic.

It’s pointless, but I guess Nebraskans need something to do in the spring when the baseball team sucks.  I didn’t grow up here so I don’t pay much attention to college football in the fall, let alone in the spring.

I don’t know anything about the quarterback battle, other than headlines I’ve read in the LJS.  I can guess that it’s going to be a little like choosing between drowning and incineration as death methods—they both suck, but you have to choose one of them.

Just cause you don’t care about it don;t bash it.  Some of us actually care about football and enjoy watching it and seeing who the QB will be.

Because I don’t care about it isn’t the only reason I bash it. I bash it because it’s meaningless and dumb.  If that offends you, then I suggest not caring so much about what people think.

@Dave K
It dose not offend me what offends me is the closed mindedness that you are showing towards something that i belive TV ratings will prove is a very populer sport.  If people didn;t care about college football and even their springs games why would the be on TV?  (And yes spring games are on TV).  I am not saying that you have to love or even like the sport but don’t bashing just because you don’t like it.  There are plenty of sports that I don’t enjoy but I respect the opions of the people who like it.
