How does the saying go…
...when you try something for the first time? Close your eyes and jump in?
Well, that’s what I’m going to do. This is my first attempt at a “blog” and when I was approached with the idea I thought, “why not?”
I highly doubt I’d be able to talk about politics, city issues, or the inner workings of married life. There is one thing I can talk about though, sports. I’m a nut about sports. I’m nuts about the Huskers, I’m nuts about every major Minnesota sports team (hence the name), I’m nuts about sports in general. I like the small sports, I like the big ones, I like them all. Except Figure Skating.
With this blog I’m going to try to give you my view on sports and the issues that surround them today. I consider myself a realist and I think I tell it like it is. I have a lot of views on many of the hot button issues in sports and I hope that even if you don’t agree with my viewpoint, that you will at least look at it differently because of me.
Now I know a lot of people here are Husker fans and I hope that I can bring a...unique view on the team. I’m a Husker fan, a big one. But I like to think of myself as a Saturday Husker fan. On Saturday I’m a great fan. On every other day...I could really care less.
OK that’s it. My first blog entry is done. Sometime this week I’m going to preview the Husker ‘05 season.

I look forward to having a sports geek posting around here. As a bonus, it sounds like we already have a crowd of Minnesota sports fans hovering around, so you should fit in quickly.
