Game 9: Kansas 40 Nebraska 15

For the first time this year you can honestly say that Nebraska got beat from kickoff to the final gun.  Yes Nebraska did get within 2 and missed the 2pt. conversion.  But right after that, just like the Missouri game, Kansas answered with a long 80 yd run and at that point...it was over.  Nebraska looked bad on both sides of the ball.  The only bright spot might have been Marlon Lucky on special teams.  But even that back fired when a 95 yard return was called back with a block in the back.  There was really nothing to this game that makes you feel good about the rest of the year.

The well being of Husker Nation lies on the next game vs. Kansas St.  This is the last real winnable game of the year.  I’m not saying the Colorado game is a definite loss but with Nebraska’s struggles on the road you feel better at home than on the road.  Nebraska NEEDS this win.  Nebraska needs to go to a bowl to show “progress.” If you go to the game...make sure you bring your lungs cause this team and the seniors need you.
